Experience the history and pageantry of British Thoroughbred horseracing
SAMPLE ITINERARY FROM 2019
Depart Minneapolis on the evening of October 10th.
Arrive October 15th at Heathrow Airport England and you will be transported to Bath England where you will begin the
first 3 days October 11-14 of your English racing experience in historic Bath.
Staying at the unique Frances Hotel which occupies 7 of the original 18th century townhouses on Queen's Square.
Marvel at the architectural masterpieces, visit the Jan Austen Center - of course take the waters at the Thermae Spa.
October 18, attend the last racing day of the season on October 19th at the Bath Racecourse.
Depart for Windsor on the morning of October 20th, where we will spend the
next three days. You will have Friday to tour the Windsor Castle
and many of the other interesting sites next to the Queen's Castle, take a boat ride on the Thames River
or stroll across the bridge to Eton
On Saturday, October 21, we will be driven to Ascot to enjoy the English Championships.
You will be provided a two course buffet in your own private box located in the King Edward VII Enclosure
and walk out onto your own private balcony to watch Europe's finest thoroughbred race horses
competing for the English Championships. After the races enjoy the music
in the "white tent " enclosure with 4,000 other race fans.
Sunday, October 22, we will motor coach from Windsor with a stop in Cambridge to visit the prestigious university town.
Then on to the center of the racing and breeding industry in Britain, New Market, England.
Stroll Newmarket's picturesque streets, watch the morning "gallops", tour the National Stud and learn the history of
British racing at the National Heritage Centre for Horseracing and Sporting Art.
Have a pint with the locals and enjoy traditional English dishes.
Time to jet back on Wednesday October 20th
